Campervan cooking is one of the things we love most about owning a campervan. It’s a convenient, fun way to recharge after an exciting day out or to keep yourself on the move whilst on a road trip.
In this blog, we will share some of our top recommendations for getting the most out of your campervan kitchen and how to have the best time out on the road whilst keeping you and your companions happy!
1 – Store food correctly
Firstly, it’s important to store your food correctly to make it last as long as possible and ensure it doesn’t cause a mess in your campervan!
All of our campervan conversions come with bespoke fittings and storage spaces that feature locking doors, so you can be sure that nothing will spill out whilst you’re on the move. Furthermore, our campervans come with a fridge unit, enabling you to keep your food and drink chilled whilst you’re away from home.
2 – Wash up as you go
Whilst it can be a lot of fun cooking in your campervan, it’s no secret that nobody enjoys a messy kitchen!
Our campervans all include an integrated basin with running water to keep your cooking space clean as you go along. It’s a good size and can act as a washing-up bowl to make your life easier on the road.
3 – Make the most of it!
Cooking meals in your campervan is all about experimenting and having fun! You could perhaps sample local ingredients and see what you can cook up using the integrated hobs that come standard in each of our campervans.
They can hold frying pans and pots, which gives you a great range of options when cooking up a tasty campervan meal!
4 – Use stackable pots and pans
There’s no end to campervan cooking equipment and campervan cooking accessories, but one of the best recommendations we can give is to use stackable pots and pans!
These kitchen accessories mean that you can fit in much more whilst ensuring you have a clutter-free space in your living area.
5 – Get social!
Last but certainly not least, get social with your meals!
The van life is all about new experiences and adventures, and you never know who you might meet out on the road or at your campsite for the evening.
You can make use of the opening side door to use the integrated kitchen unit as a counter to serve up dinner for you and your friends, creating a communal space for an evening under the stars.
